Dear Friends and Neighbors:
Many Village residents have been urging me to seek the office of Mayor of the Village of Farmingdale. After careful consideration I have decided to accept this challenge. The Village Election for Mayor and two Trustee positions is March 20, 2011 and it is fast approaching.
Being actively involved in civic, charitable and political issues for over 20 years, I have sought to create effective change within our community. I plan on taking common sense ideas straight from the people to Village Hall. My hope is to bring honesty, integrity and transparency to the forefront of good government. I believe there are workable solutions that will enhance our Main Street and quality of life without creating a hardship for taxpayers.
I am excited about serving the people of this community and seeking the office of Mayor. My opponent has been in office for the past six years, 2 years as Trustee and 4 years as Mayor — with few accomplishments. I feel strongly I must step forward to offer Village voters a better choice.
To be successful it will take a very dedicated grass roots organization starting with a united volunteer group. My running mates for the Trustee positions, Michael Manchin and Susan Miles, are as eager as I am about bringing constructive change. With our strong VIP Team we will be able to bring our Village back to the “people” and move toward a common-sense approach to growth and prosperity.
Here’s how you can help. I have thousands of brochures to purchase, flyers to mail and hundreds of yard signs to order. I am turning to the people to get involved in my campaign.
